Are You Writing Your Own Vows?

  |   Wedding Ceremony, Wedding Planning Ideas

There are so many endless routes to take when it comes to your wedding vows. You can go the religious route, the spiritual route, you can write your own, etc. Writing your own vows, I feel, adds an inspirational and personal touch to the wedding. You are saying exactly how you feel and your partner knows it came straight from your heart. However, it can be a bit overwhelming to think about. Some people don’t even know where to start when writing their own vows. Here are some steps to make it a little easier on you:

  1. How does your partner make you feel? – Express your love through telling them how amazing they make you feel when you’re with them.
  2. What are your favorite memories with your partner? – Bringing up some old, fun memories can make your vows very sentimental and meaningful and might even bring out some laughter or tears.
  3. What do you love most about your partner? – Tell them how much you love them and what about them makes you smile.

Overall, tell them what it means to you that you get to spend the rest of your life with them. Bringing your own words into your wedding will make it that much more special.
