Choosing Your Bridesmaids

  |   Wedding Planning Ideas

Choosing your birdesmaids is a very crucial part of your wedding. They are the ones that will be helping you through this amazing, but a bit stressful time in your life. However, when you think about it, choosing them is not exactly an easy task. Here are a few tips on how to make the right decisions:

  1. Do Not Expect– First, you have to keep in mind that you are asking them not demanding. They always have the option to say no and if they do it should not affect your relationship with them. Sometimes people are too busy to have extra responsibilities. Also, keep in mind if they say yes it is a permanent deal, except in rare cases.
  2. Timing Is Everything– If you’re planning on having a short engagement you better get to it, but if it’s a long engagement, take your time. You wouldn’t want to imagine losing any of the friends you currently have or having arguments come between you and a family member, but sometimes those things happen so you should take your sweet time-after all they have to be there for you through the entire process!
  3. Friends vs. Family– You always want to please your family, but you also have friends that you want included in your bridal party- that can be a tough choice. When choosing your bridesmaids keep the ever important saying “blood is thicker than water” in the back of your mind. In the end, however, it is ultimately your choice.
  4. Last But Not Least– Your maid of honor! Choose wisely when picking your maid of honor because their job for you is to be there every single step of the way and help you with anything you need. You need to pick someone who won’t back out of things and will stick by you.
