The Northampton and Amherst areas of Massachusetts are a great place to hold your wedding reception. The quaint downtown streets of Northampton and Amherst are rich with local artistry and unique restaurants and bars. I always liked going out dancing in Northampton in my college days.
A combination of local artists and college students (Umass, Amherst, Smith, Hampshire, Mt. Holyoke) make this the chic area of the Pioneer Valley. That’s probably why so many weddings occur in the Amherst & Northampton areas of Massachusetts.

While you are in the area, be sure to stop for ice cream at Cook’s Farm (1 East Hadley Road, Hadley, MA). We DJ’d their daughter’s wedding. The ice cream is amazing. We take my kids for ice cream and to pet the animals every time we are up in the area.
