Erin + John – The Lace Factory – Deep River CT Wedding DJ

  |   CT Shoreline Weddings, Industrial Space Lighting

Erin + John held their wedding reception at The Lace Factory in Deep River CT in June.  It ended up being yet another beautiful day and their cocktail hour was held outside.  We provided music via our wireless speaker for outside.

We introduced in our bridal party into their circle of friends and family and Erin + John went right into their first dance.  Guests were urged to join in and we did a short dance set before dinner to warm up the crowd.  Erin + John were outside taking photos for a good portion of the meal service and by the time they made it back inside, guests were already dancing.

Introduction:  Love Walks In – Van Halen
First Dance:  Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You – Frankie Vallie
Cake Cutting:  Love & Marriage – Frank Sinatra
John & Mom:  You’ll Be In My Heart – Phil Collins
Erin & Dad:  My Girl – Temptations
Last Song:  We Are Family – Sister Sledge

Suggestions for any of our Lace Factory Couples:

  • Do not put all the dining tables to one side of the room.  Split tables around dance floor to help with acoustics in the room and to allow for dancing between courses (there is always 1/2 of your guests done eating while we wait for the other 1/2 to finish)
  • The string lights in The Lace Factory make the room TOO BRIGHT later for dancing.  Arrange to have them UNPLUGGED once dancing starts (at least over the dance floor area).  We always tell clients when doing string lights that THEY MUST BE DIMMABLE for this exact reason.
