Heather and Ben were a blast to work with! They had their ceremony and reception at Mill One in Holyoke. The ceremony took place on the top floor of Mill 4 with a backdrop of sunset and candles. Both Heather’s Uncle Jeff and Father Bob helped to officiate the heartfelt ceremony. Guests then made their way downstairs and over to Mill 1 where cocktail hour was taking place. Everyone made their way to their seats for introductions and dinner. The dinner playlist covered a ton of country throughout the decades. After some wonderful speeches, it was time to cut the cakes. The first cake was cut with a family heirloom sword from Heather’s grandfather and his time in the Navy. The second cake was a traditional cake from Norway that consisted of 18 rings. The tradition is to pick up the cake from the top and however many rings stay attached to the lifted ring correlates to the number of children the couple will have. We rolled right into the parent dances with a custom edit and dance routine from Heather and her dad! We opened up the dancefloor and played hits from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s. We ended the night with one of Heather and Ben’s favorites, “Take Me Home, Country Road” by John Denver.
