Mystic Boat Shed Wedding DJ

Kristen and Gil were marred by the lighthouse next to the Mystic Boat Shed in Mystic CT. It got cold fast as the sun set that day. My assistant and I got the propane heaters going under the Boat Shed, but they just could not keep up. The temperature dipped to the mid-40s that night and it was only about 52 degrees under the Boat Shed and the only way we keep guests there was to get everyone up and dancing.

At the Mystic Boat Shed, you only have 5 hours from when guests arrive until the last song. That’s an hour shorter than most ceremony and receptions. That means, we needed to be on top of all the behind the scenes details to keep everything on schedule and to maximize dance time. That meant, getting the wait staff to clear table off the dance floor to make sure introduction and first dance were done on time. As soon as guests were through the buffet and had eaten, we needed to get people up and dancing to warm them up.

The dance floor was relatively full all the way until their last dance and sparkler sendoff.

We provided music and mics for their ceremony, string lights in the Boat House, DJ and MC services.
