Tess & Tyler – St. Clements Castle – CT Wedding DJ
Tess and I have kept in touch via Instagram over the years since we last attended Laural Music Camp together. We became fast friends with a few other chorus and band folks and our group was inseparable at camp! I got a message from Tess last year that read “I’ve got a wedding for you to DJ in 2024” and then I saw on her Instagram story that she had gotten engaged! At that point, I knew we were in for a killer party with great music!
Once the venue was set we got to planning right away! We met over dinner at Sayulita in Glastonbury to discuss the details about 6 months out. Tess and her now husband Lucas had most of their details reigned in. Tess did tell me she would provide me with quite the “do not play” list and she did! Fortunately, we still had tons of great music to choose from. When the day came, the weather couldn’t have been better, the heat wave we had had for over 2 weeks had broken and there was a bright blue sky above. Their ceremony and reception were at St. Clements Castle in Portland, CT. After the ceremony and outdoor cocktails, guests came into the ballroom where we had our DJ and Uplighting set up. After formalities, we had a dancefloor that wouldn’t quit! When the night came to an end Lucas and Tess had their private last dance before joining their guests at the after-party!
