We have done so many weddings at The Pond House Cafe over the years. It’s one of those hidden gems just outside Hartford located inside Elizabeth Park in West Hartford. I’ve never had a bad meal at The Pond House. The food is always amazing. There is just enough privacy that the public is removed from your wedding celebration. No need to worry about stray people wandering into the room or interfering with your wedding photos. I just love the room at The Pond House – the ceiling drapery and built-in string lights make for a great backdrop for your wedding photos. For those winter weddings – the fireplace also makes for great photos and the cafe is always decorated for the holidays for our winter weddings.
Outdoor Wedding Ceremony
Whether you are getting married out in the Rose Garden at Elizabeth Park or just outside in the round on the patio, we can provide music and microphones so everyone hears the emotion as you exchange vows.
For our outdoor wedding ceremonies, we will set up a separate sound system dedicated to your ceremony needs. It has multiple digital wireless microphones installed so you don’t have to worry about dropouts or guests not hearing the ceremony. Typically, we have a clip-on mic for the groom and another clip-on lav mic for your officiate. Handheld microphones are also available for your readers or if your officiate prefers.
Pond House Cafe Cocktail Hour
The Pond House Cafe patio is a great space for your social hour/cocktail hour. They will set up an outdoor bar on the patio and guests can wander off the patio and roam Elizabeth Park if they wish.
We will have a wireless remote speaker setup on the deck – it will be playing the same music that is being played inside off our main DJ system. Your guests can roam inside and out and won’t miss an announcement or their favorite song all night long. Beautiful night? No worries – you can dance out on the patio if you wish.
Time To Dance At Your Wedding
When it comes to dancing at The Pond House Cafe – the layout is a bit unique. The bar and dance floor are a bit close but if you make sure to keep other tables and things like your wedding cake out of the area, there will be more than enough room to dance when dinner is done. Make sure there are no obstacles between your guests and the dance floor – that includes any vendor table, displays, photo booths or cake. This seems so trivial, but it makes a HUGE DIFFERENCE in the energy level on the dance floor. It’s these little details that a professional DJ/MC will help guide you to avoid if you share your room layout with us.
