Westfield River Brewing Wedding: Brewery weddings are all the rage – and if it’s in a barn, then it’s pretty much a no-brainer that your wedding at Westfield River Brewing in Southwick MA is going to be something to remember. For those of us who grew up in Southwick (that funny notch on the bottom of the Massachusetts state border), this was Chuck’s Steak House. It was where we went out to eat as a family for special events (I had 5 siblings – we didn’t go out to eat very much as kids). My mom even worked at Chuck’s for a while preparing the vegetables for their salad bar. I was so excited when it came back to life as a Westfield River Brewery.
We’ve done quite a few weddings over the years at this Westfield River Brewery and I wanted to share some images from these weddings. They have a picturesque area (a bit of a hike from the barn) for your outdoor ceremony and the back deck makes for a cool space to have your social hour. Inside, its multi-level feel makes for a unique backdrop for your dinner and dancing.

Jim from Rob Alberti DJ made our Sept 2021 wedding. He did an amazing job of helping us curate a feel and flow of the day that fit us and the experience we wanted our guests to have, listened to who we are vs trying to fit us in a ‘box,’ and picked up on the ‘vibes’ we were going for after just a few minutes of conversation. He spent more time with us planning than we was obligated to, making us feel really confident that he was going to help make our day something special and unique. The edits that he did of our dance and entrance songs were great, and he ran the dance floor like the true professional that he is. The best part is that you can tell just how much he loves his job – both the planning and the doing. We got so many compliments from guests and family, and truly enjoyed having him there with us!”

DJ Justin was their DJ of choice for the day. I stopped by to check it out and the dance floor was just on fire at this wedding. Jess and Alyssa and their friends and family were there to celebrate and it showed! At one point, I climbed the stairs to get a few photos from above the dance floor and I was stuck there for about 30 minutes before I could work my way across the dance floor back to where Justin was set up to DJ.

We worked with DJ Pat to provide sound for our ceremony and a fantastic playlist for our reception. We had multiple live musicians and Pat was totally willing to work with us to provide microphones for them. Pat also created the playlist of our dreams and had us and our guests dancing all night long.!”

“Can’t recommend Rob and his team more!! We contacted Rob less then 3 months before our wedding after we moved it due to Covid. He got back to us same day with options! When you’ve gone through ti all responsiveness is a MUST. I loved that his website goes into so much detail and what to expect. We had a quick call and was completely sold. Rob and his team come the day before and string bistro lights to make our tent reallllllly glow but also help my florist ring a flower chandelier over the dance floor. He was so accommodating and easy to work with. We used DJ Jesse Camp and all our guests could say was how unbelievable he was. We ended up adding an extra hour because we couldn’t stop dancing! Even more then the reception, they have everything you need for your ceremony as well with battery powered speakers so no crazy extension cords needed! They thought of everything for us and i had surprise music i wanted to play and Jesse made it look seamless. I also sent him the cocktail hour and reception playlist idea literally the morning of (Jesse you’re a godsend)!! Thank you to Rob, Jesse and the entire team!
